Our Favourite Woodland Walks Around Bordon
Shady trails, quiet paths and sniffy corners, the local routes the Walking Paws dogs love most.
Bordon and Whitehill sit on the edge of some genuinely lovely walking country, and the Walking Paws dogs have their firm favourites.
Shaded woodland tracks are the summer default: cooler underfoot, endlessly sniffy and quieter than open ground. Heathland is stunning but exposed, so it is better saved for cooler mornings.
Look for routes with varied surfaces and gentle level changes. Moving over different ground is good for a dog's body as well as their brain.
Please keep ground-nesting bird season in mind between March and August, lead work through heathland is a small thing that matters a great deal locally.
